A Republican caucus for the purpose of selecting candidates to run in the November election for the Town of Hoosick was held on Thursday, September 15. Nominated and unanimously voted to run on the Republican line are Keith Cipperly, Town Supervisor, Mark Surdam, Town Council, Bruce Patire, Town Council, and Richard Whalen, Town Justice. They will join incumbent Jack Mahar, Sheriff, candidate Joel Abelove, District Attorney, and incumbent Chris Hummel, Surrogate Court Judge on the Republican line, Row B.
The Town of Hoosick Republican Committee feels we have a strong team to represent the best interests of the Town. Bruce is seeking his first term and hopes to join incumbents Keith and Mark, along with Jeff Wysocki and Louis Schmigel (Town Councilmen) on the Town Board. This team will work with all of the residents of the Town of Hoosick to deliver affordable taxes without reducing services, promote tourism in town, avoid wasteful spending, listen to and work with the public in a friendly atmosphere, strengthen and encourage growth in businesses, protect our farmers and implement plans to make the Town of Hoosick a strong and safe environment for your family.
Now is the time to put this dynamite team into action. Current economic times are very trying for individuals and families, and we need a local government that is understanding and sympathetic to those needs.
The candidates are also endorsed by the Independence, Conservative and Working Family parties.
