The HFCS Music Dept. is finally getting some respect. “Kids are beginning to understand that Band and Chorus take as much practice and lessons as any school sport,” said Chorus member Tyler Brewer. “A lot of us are dedicated to what we do, just like the athletes.” And like the successful athletic teams in the school, the Music Department has had more than its share of success this year. Rabies Clinic In Grafton
There will be a rabies clinic in Grafton sponsored by the Rensselaer County Health Department on Thursday, June 30. It will be held at the Grafton Fire House, 2385 NY 2. Cats and ferrets (in a carrier) will be treated from 5 to 6 pm and dogs (on a leash) from 6 to 7 pm. Bring a previous rabies certificate in order to get a three year vaccine. Donations will be accepted.
Dale Ninivaggi Honored As PTA Founders’ Day Award Winner
The Hoosick Falls Central School PTA annually seeks nominations to honor community members who make outstanding contributions to the well being of children and youth. This year’s award recipient was Dale Ninivaggi, a fourth grade teacher who has taught at Hoosick Falls Central School for 23 years.

Alesea’s Angels Benefit Breakfast
Alesea’s Angels, a community based group, is hosting an All You Can Eat Benefit Breakfast on Sunday, June 26, from 8 to 11 am at the Berlin Fire House. There will also be a 50/50 raffle and a Chinese auction. Breakfast will include pancakes, eggs, sausage, toast, juice and coffee. The cost for adults is $8, $5 for children 12 and under and $25 for families (two adults and children under 12).
