It was a beautiful Saturday in gorgeous Hoosick Falls as the baseball and softball teams lined up for their annual parade. The Parade went from Wood Park to the baseball fields at the Water Works Road. Maggie McAuliffe, the President of the baseball club introduced the teams that are split up into mini-minors, 10 and under and 12 and under for softball; and t-ball, instructional majors and minors for baseball.
The teams are sponsored by Wolf Pack Media Technology Solutions, Barbecue Recreation, Sternberg & Gorman, LLP, R.M. Bacon, Hoag’s Garage, Martinez Family Practice, Bob’s Auto Parts of Hoosick Falls, Thorpe’s Pharmacy, Holbrook, Johnston & Tate, Hoosick Federal Credit Union, Oak Mitsui, Stewart’s, Lester Goodermote Income Tax Service, Tomasi’s Sports & Awards, Curtis Lumber, Society of St. Stanislaw, Delurey Sales & Service, Ice Kreme Kafe, WCW, Inc., C.H. There are also poles in place for the installation of lights for the field. There are seven softball teams and 18 baseball teams that play from Saturday, April 24, through Monday June 21. Games are held every week night at 6 pm and all day on Saturdays. On the day of the parade, in the majors league, the Man of Kent team played Tomasi’s, and R.M. Bacon played Dewey Auto. In the minors, Thorpe’s played Ice Kreme Kafe and Delurey’s played WCW. In the mini-minor league, Potter Hill Barn played Thorpe’s and in 12U Salem played Denin & Deeds. The last game was at 5:30 pm and was played by 10U Wolf Pack Media against VPS Control Systems. A big thank you to all who participated in the parade to make it great and to all the sponsors.
