On Monday, February 22, the Petersburgh Planning Board held a public hearing on a subdivision proposed by Jim Dunigan of his Brimmer Farms property. He requested that an 18 acre parcel be split off from his 308 acre farm. It is an agricultural field on the south side of the Hoosic River, just east of the bridge that carries Green Road (County Rte 95) over the river. The land lies between the river bank and the railroad tracks, and is accessed by a right of way which crosses the railroad tracks. The field has been cultivated for some time by John McMahon of Hooskip Farm, and Dunigan now plans to sell the field to McMahon.
No one came to the public hearing to comment on the proposed subdivision, and the Planning Board unanimously approved it. McMahon, who is a member of the Planning Board and was present, abstained from voting.
