The Town of Hoosick Rescue Squad has served the community of Hoosick for the past 53 years. To continue this service it needs volunteers. Candidates can be trained in house in the American Heart Association basic health provided CPR course and also be trained in 24 hours in the various aspects of treating the sick and injured. The State of New York requires that an Emergency Medical Technician be in charge of patient care, and we would like to find candidates interested in this 130 hour course offered many times within our County.
While the care of our citizenry should be an enticement to join the squad, we will also offer a free ticket to Great Escape in Lake George to the first ten applicants 18 years of age or older. We will also offer a free ticket to Great Escape to the first two junior members (students age 16 and older). New members must pledge one year of service to qualify for the one day free ticket to Great Escape.
Please help keep volunteerism alive in Hoosick. Please call President Bill Gaillard at 686-9715 or Vice President Deb Lohnes at 686-0810. Each residence has a message machine if no one answers. Join now!
