A Republican caucus for the purpose of selecting candidates to run in the November election for the Town of Hoosick was held on Monday, August 3. Nominated to run on the Republican line are the following: Keith Cipperly, Town Supervisor, Louis Schmigel, Town Council, Jeff Wysocki, Town Council, Sue Stradinger, Town Clerk, Thomas Restino, Town Justice, and Bill Shiland, Town Highway Superintendent.
The Town of Hoosick Republican caucus feels this is a strong team to represent the best interests of the Town. Once elected Keith, Louis and Jeff plan to join Mark Surdam (current Town Councilman) on the Town Board, working with all of the residents of the Town of Hoosick to stabilize taxes without reducing services, cut wasteful spending, listen to and work with the public in a friendly atmosphere, strengthen and encourage growth in businesses, protect our farmers and implement plans to make the Town of Hoosick a strong and safe environment for your family.
Also present at the caucus were Lester Goodermote and Stan Brownell running for re-election for the Rensselaer County Legislature.
The candidates are endorsed by the Independence and Conservative lines and will primary for the Working Family line in September.
