To the Editor:
We saw it in the Eastwick Press so we went.
Lunch. The tables were beautifully set, lovely ribbon and flower napkin holders on cloth napkins, individual valentine boxes with candy in them, kisses and heart candies in little dishes on the tables, pots of flowers. It looked just lovely. Hors d’oeuvres passed first, choice of home made soups, choice of chicken. I opted for the chicken with sour cherry sauce. It was outstanding. Pickled beets, carrots and peas, fettuccine, a basket of nice hot rolls, red velvet cake and yummy beautiful petites fours, herbal teas, coffee and iced tea.
The service was top notch. Fancy restaurant in the city? Nope. Valentine lunch for seniors in the library at Berlin Central High School put on by Dianne Mosher’s two catering classes. We surely dined fine. No one could have done it nicer.
