Hudson River Walk And Talk

On Saturday, June 12, from 10 am to noon, the Rensselaer Land Trust will sponsor a walk along the Hudson River in Troy. The Hudson River has played a pivotal role in the history, geography and ecology of Rensselaer County. Guest leader Shirley Hartman of the Beacon Institute for Rivers and Estuaries will discuss the Hudson’s flora and fauna and the Institute’s current programs to monitor and restore the river and shore. Bob Ingalls of RLT will talk about the human history of the Hudson River and the area around Troy.
The walk will be one to two miles on flat paved surfaces. Meet at the office of the Beacon Institute at 225 River Street in Troy. To register and for more information, contact Bob Ingalls at 272-2978 or robert.ingalls@gmail.com.
