More Dumpster Drama

This time it was at the Grafton Planning Board meeting on Monday, February 22, where the Ungaros appeared in order to fix their dumpster complaint problem. They again addressed the recent anonymous complaint that they needed to fence in their dumpster. There was a contingency placed on the Planning Board permit about the Ungaros’ dumpsters on the Madonna Lake Road property requiring fencing. They store dumpsters there for their garbage disposal company. By a 4-0 vote by the Board, the contingency was reversed, and there is no longer any need for the Ungaro dumpsters to have a fence.
Two And Two
Next, Scott Newell presented to the Board a pair of lots to be subdivided. He wishes for these divisions to take place on his property on Pond View Road. According to the maps, he should be able to do so. The Planning Board said that they wanted to see the copies of the deeds to the properties owned by Newell and his mother. After that the Board decided to have a public hearing regarding each of these subdivisions on March 15 at 6:30 and at 6:45 pm.

  1. We work with dumpster services across the country. We don’t know all the specifics of this case, but in general we support the right of local dumpster services to be governed by the same zoning regulations as other commercial entities. We support the Boards reversal of this contingency…. which sounds as if it may have been initiated by a single anonymous complaint.

Well, how about the diesel containing tanks on that property??Would that not be an environmental issue?

  3. EagerBeaver says:

This Ungaro guy … how in the world does he get to keep those big old diesel tanks on his property? Maybe paying someone to keep their piehole shut perhaps? Wouldn’t surprise me one bit.

  4. I am not familiar with the aforementioned company, but it may be safer to keep dumpsters behind a fence. Children and small animals can become trapped in dumpsters and cause injury to themselves. However, we support the boards right to govern their own policies regarding zoning.
