9, Tue.: Frog and Toad Watch Training at Shaver Nature Center at 6 pm.
DEC’s Frog and Toad Monitoring Program is offering this free one-hour training. Learn frog and toad calls, choose a local route, and your data will help amphibian conservation efforts. Refreshments provided at training, located at 194 Shaver Pond Rd, Grafton, NY. Call DEC to RSVP: 845-256-3829
13, Sat.: Backyard Maple Sugaring from 10 am-12 pm
Brief Video, demonstration of syruping, and sampling of syrup for all! $2/person, $5/family. Meets at Park Office. Please pre-register.

19 Fri.: Star Watch at Grafton Lakes State Park at 7:30 pm.
Join with members of the Albany Area Astronomers and come explore the night sky as we transition into Spring. Meets at Main Lot. Snow/rain date: Saturday, 3/20. Call 658-9144 to confirm. Use Winter Entrance.

31, Wed.: Beginner orienteering course from 3:30-5 pm
Learn the art of map and compass and navigate through our new 1.4 km course by Long Pond. Both challenging and fun for all ages. Weather permitting. Moderate Terrain where guide will be leading group off trail. Meets in Beach Nature Center. Pre-registration required by 3-30-10. $2 per participant, $5/family.
