After weeks of hardly any snow, eastern Rensselaer County is getting hit with a succession of big ones. There were unofficial reports of up to two feet of snow in the Stephentown area by Wednesday morning, with more to come. A second storm is expected to drop another 5 to 10 inches. The heavy snow resulted in some downed power lines. NYSEG reported outages for close to 2,000 customers in Rensselaer County.
