Girl Scout Pride Takes On A Dirty Job

Members of Girl Scout Troop 1154 together with Ms. Karen Webster of Hartland Designs spent an afternoon sprucing up the gardens of Main Street, Berlin. They started at the Berlin Free Town Library and moved up to the street to the Berlin Veterans Memorial Monument.
The scouts have been working hard at earning their Bronze Award where community contribution is a big part of their requirements. Since the Memorial Day Parade stops for a moment of silence during this part of the route, the group thought it would be an excellent way to contribute to the Town and express their respect for all the men and women who serve our country.

This picture illustrates how sometimes a girl may need to get dirty to show pride for her community and community members past and present.
